About the Author

Lincoln H. Blumell is an associate professor of ancient scripture at Brigham Young University. He completed his PhD at the University of Toronto in the Department for the Study of Religion in 2009. He also holds an MSt from the University of Oxford (Christ Church) and an MA and BA from the University of Calgary. His research focus is Christianity in the Roman and Byzantine periods with a special emphasis on Christianity in Egypt and Greek papyrology.
