\nand works with it. Well-known for their clear teaching style,\u00a0Elder and Sister Hafen share profound insights on three levels

As Oliver Wendell Holmes explained, \u201cI would not give a fig for\u00a0the simplicity [on] this side of complexity. But I would give my

\nwill help us resolve questions that could otherwise derail us,\u00a0and will be a solid foundation for a deep and abiding testimony.<\/p>\n
Bruce C. Hafen was called to the First Quorum\u00a0of the Seventy in 1996 and received emeritus\u00a0status in 2010. A widely recognized family law\u00a0scholar, he has served as president of BYU\u2013Idaho\u00a0and dean of the BYU law school. His trilogy\u00a0on the Atonement included the bestseller The\u00a0Broken Heart. Elder Hafen recently served as\u00a0president of the St. George Utah Temple.<\/p>\n
Marie K. Hafen received her bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees\u00a0in English from BYU. She has taught English and religion classes
\nat Ricks College and BYU. She has published articles in the\u00a0Ensign and was co-editor of A Legacy Remembered, a selection
