The term "Jew" before the Babylonian exile
- Incidentally, one should explain here the use of the term "Jew" as applied to Lehi. The word was not used to designate all Israelites before the exile, but it was used to designate any citizen of the state of Judah, and it is in that sense that the Book of Mormon specifically employs it.[1]
