A few weeks ago brother Ash did a cursory review of the Baja California Book of Mormon geography proposal by the Rosenvalls. Did he even read any of the text from the website? Did he even look at the website?
The location of the Book of Mormon lands has little to do with the truth of the book but the Book of Mormon had to happen somewhere. And Joseph said it was the most correct book. It should be accurate on every point.
The Great Lakes model is so deficient on so many points it makes no sense. Consider winter in southern Canada. Living in tents for 1000 years. The Jaredites living north in southern Canada. The Lachine Rapids stopped even the modern sailors from sailing up the St Lawrence. Thats why Quebec city is located there. Sailing a barge up the Mississippi River? Trip of the Jaredites taking 344 days in 8 barges. Almost exactly the same time it took for the fishing barges to float unassisted from the coast of Japan to Oregon after the recent Japanese sunami.
.Brother Ash, Please give the BAJA model another look. It is the only one that makes sense.
