In this article Michael Ash provides four evidences of a “tight control” Book of Mormon translation using repetition, construct state, rent garment and conditional sentence examples. As explained in last week’s article some of the evidences for a “tight control” translation comes from the fact the ungrammatical first printing makes perfect grammatical sense in Hebrew.

In chapter 3 verse 9 (page 16), we find:
9 Their oil, and their wheat, and their rye, and their corn, and their barley, and their rice, and their buck-wheat, and their oats, and their flax, and all the products of their country will we destroy, and scatter the remnants thereof to the four winds of heaven.
The phrase “and it came to pass” is found 15 times in the book. The first occurrence being chapter 6 verse 14.
In chapter 3 verse 3, we find:
3 Then will we rule them with a rod of iron ; and they shall be, unto us, hewers of wood and drawers of water.
