*Mormonism and Wikipedia. FAIR regularly receives queries about specific LDS-themed Wikipedia articles with requests that we somehow "fix" them. Although some individual members of FAIR may choose to edit Wikipedia articles, FAIR as an organization does not. Controversial Wikipedia articles require constant maintenance and a significant amount of time. We prefer instead to respond to claims in the FAIR Wiki rather than fight the ongoing battle that LDS Wikipedia articles sometimes invite. From FAIR’s perspective, assertions made in LDS-themed Wikipedia articles are therefore treated just like any other critical (or, if one prefers, "anti-Mormon") work. FAIR examines and responds to two LDS-related Wikipedia articles in detail:

*FAIR web site reviews. Many web sites critical of the Church are very obvious in their mission—to pull the foundation from members' faith. Some, however, are much more subtle in their approach. These sites are claimed to be operated by active and believing members of the Church. Their message, unfortunately, is not consistent with building or supporting faith. FAIR reviews one such site.

*The Charles Larson "restoration" of Book of Abraham Facsimile 1 in "...by his own hand upon papyrus"—The book "...by his own hand upon papyrus" presents a "restoration" of Book of Abraham Facsimile 1 (p. 65), which purports to be "based upon the modern study of Egyptology, and similar scenes in numerous existing papyri." However, the recent availability of high-definition images of the papyri on the Church History website now provides the opportunity to compare the Larson restoration with the original. There are a number of discrepancies which indicate that the restoration contains a number of significant inaccuracies. We examine those inaccuracies in this article.

*Where has the Church hidden its historical facts?—Our critics frequently claim that the Church has hidden its true history. A commonly cited example is Joseph Smith's use of a seer stone to translate. We found that this fact was indeed "hidden"...in September 1974 Friend! How about the Danites attacking non-Mormons in Missouri? Check out the July 1993 Friend! We uncover some of the historical facts that the Church has "hidden" in plain sight.

*Why did Joseph's siblings remain asleep during Moroni's visit?—One of the oddest claims we have recently encountered is the claim that Joseph's siblings should have been awakened during Moroni's visit. There is even some Church art that shows Joseph alone in his bed as he is listening to Moroni. Yet, there are also portrayals on the official Church website and in the Ensign that clearly show Joseph's siblings asleep in bed during the angelic visit. Critics use the fact that Joseph's siblings were not awakened to try and prove that Joseph was only experiencing a dream or hallucination. FAIR examines this odd claim in detail.
