MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Our annual FAIR Conference is quickly approaching, and we are working hard to get everything ready for another great event. I wanted to make sure you were up-to-date on the latest news regarding the Conference, so we are sending out this special edition of the FAIR Journal.
Make sure you read all the info in this issue; it is well worth your while. You can also find information about the conference here:

Make sure to tell others about this year’s FAIR Conference! This is an excellent apologetic, scholarly, and educational opportunity. If you know of people who have an interest in Defending the Faith, tell them about the FAIR Conference. If you know of people who are curious about topics that are going to be covered, tell them about the FAIR Conference. If you know of people who are struggling with issues connected with LDS history, doctrine, or practice, tell them about the FAIR Conference.
And make sure you join us too! We look forward to the insights, fellowship, and conversation that you have to share.

CUT-OFF DATES
The special FAIR Conference hotel room rate is only available through Tuesday, 20 July 2010.
The last day to purchase FAIR Conference tickets ONLINE is Wednesday, 28 July 2010. This is also the cut-off date for purchasing tickets with the lunch option.
Conference tickets can still be purchased at the door on either day of the conference, but no lunch option will be available.

Coming from either the North or the South on Interstate 15, take the 9000 S. or 106000 S. exits and go East until you reach State Street. If you exited on 90th S. then turn right on State Street. The Expo Center will be on your left at the top of the hill. If you exited on 106th S. then turn left when you reach State Street. The Expo Center will be on your right at the top of the hill.
There is plenty of parking available at the Expo Center and several sit-down and fast-food eateries are located nearby to the North, West, and South.

There are a variety of conference ticket options. (All ticket purchases must be made through the FAIR bookstore.)

Student prices are available only to students. Students must show valid, current student ID upon registration.
HOTEL
The official hotel for the FAIR Conference is the Best Western Cottontree, just minutes away from the South Towne Exposition Center. Rooms are available for only $84 per night (plus tax), which includes high-speed wireless Internet access; a great breakfast of eggs, hash browns, waffles, French toast, etc.; and free shuttle to the conference center. This special FAIR Conference room rate is only available through July 20, 2010.

All FAIR Conference attendees will have access to free Wi-Fi service. Bring your computer and send emails about things you learned during sessions or whip up some commentary for a blog post.

INTERNET STREAMING
The 2010 FAIR Conference will be streamed on the internet. This service will cost $15 (USD) for both days combined. This service is for AUDIO only, though some amount of video may also become available. This service is only available live. A higher-speed internet connection is advisable.
Instructions regarding access and feedback will be emailed to all participants shortly before the conference begins.
AUCTION
As in previous years, there will be an auction held during the 2010 FAIR Conference. Bids for all items will be accepted throughout the two days of the gathering and winners will be announced on Friday once all presentations have ended.
We encourage you to donate a wide range of items to this cause including (but not limited to) books, magazines, pamphlets, journal sets, and artwork.
Your donations will go toward helping further the mission of FAIR (and somebody may thank you for cleaning out that closet or garage).
BOOKSTORE
The FAIR Bookstore will be onsite, as usual, at the Expo Center but in a different area than in previous years. It will be located in the foyer of the Expo Center this time, just to the South of the hall where all of the presentations will be taking place.
Be sure to be on the lookout for discounts on various bookstore items and also look for publications by some of the people who will be giving presentations during the two days of the conference. This is a great chance to speak to them about their work.
